My email inbox has been overflowing with letters from readers ever since my last column about Russia's amazing abundance of beautiful women, and how the rise of free markets made them so gorgeous. Even academic heavyweight Michael McFaul of the Hoover Institute dropped me a note thanking me for pointing out the link between Russia's turn to open free markets in the 1990s, which he helped to design and promote, and the sudden revelation of Russia's remarkable female beauty.
"Yes, free markets gave rise to beautiful Russian women," wrote McFaul, "but what few realize is that today's Putin-era Russian beauties, who are even more appealing than the girls of the 1990s, would today be even drop-dead off-the-scale gorgeous had Putin not imposed authoritarian rule and clamped down on the free market."
Thanks for pointing that out, Michael! How right you are!
The link between beauty and open markets is incontrovertible and everywhere. Take for example Great Britain, where the proportion of hatchet-faced horse-toothed women declined from 98% of the female population during the Welfare State era, down to 97.85% of the population after Margaret Thatcher's market reforms took hold. True, the statistics have a margin of error of 5%, but as Michael McFaul correctly notes, that margin of error would be even greater had not free markets been introduced.
We needn't look overseas to understand this. In the USA, the dazzling lustful hippie girls of the Great Society era in the 1960s and 1970s gave way to the sexless post-Reaganomics American woman of today: fat-ankled, bitter, a bottle of Prozac in one hand and a jackrabbit vibrator in the other: she is the picture of free markets triumphing over the failed sexual socialism of the LBJ years. While it's true today's American women are frighteningly unappealing compared to their sisters of the protectionist past, at the same time, Michael McFaul would correctly argue that were it not for Reagan's market revolution, today's American women would be even fatter and angrier than the current generation.
When I look at myself in the mirror every morning, I say, "Anne, you look great, and you feel great, and it's all thanks to the open markets!"
I'm bringing all this up because in all of my excitement over Russian beauty, I forgot to cite the single most impressive and visible benefit that market reforms brought: the incredible explosion in Russian and East European prostitutes! Earth to Anne, hello Anne! There I was reminiscing about the Russian beauties appearing in high-class London hotel lobbies and restaurants in 1995, but the part of that story I left out was how most of the girls I saw in those places were working women.
If you recall my column, I noted how an old Russia hand friend of mine who'd spent time in the Soviet Union during the 1970s looked at the women in the hotel lobby and remarked, "But where were they all before?" I left out what he said after that: "Where were all the whores crowding the alley tochkas in every Russian thoroughfare, where were all the whores advertising on the Internet or the Moscow Times? If only I'd known, I would have done everything different!"
"They hadn't yet been saved by the free markets!" I chimed in cheerfully. "And don't forget, Old Russia Hand friend, open markets means open borders for hundreds of thousands of prostitutes, which means the exciting opportunity to become a globalized sex slave: in an Albanian trading post, a client to an AIDS-infested Nigerian peacekeeper, orthe chance to travel the world from a basement dungeon in Tetovo to a basement dungeon in Seoul! The trendy left-wing ivory tower types may talk of the evils of globalization, but what they forget is that without globalization, we wouldn't have this great mixing of cultures: Moldovan, Ukrainian, and Belarussian whores getting trafficked through NATO-run Kosovo through a network of Romanian, Serbian and Bosnian criminal gangs, then handed over to Albanian crime groups, and eventually sold to brothels from Saipan to Brazil and points in between!"
Something about this talk of open markets had my Old Russia Hand friend whinnying and salivating, and he couldn't wait to taste the free market benefits for himself. Without even letting me finish, he was out of his chair and bargaining with one of the London hotel lobby Ukrainian whores--that's right, "bargaining!" What better expression of the free market than bargaining!
Ah yes, we all have free markets to thank for our idyllic state of female beauty today, whether in England or Russia, and don't forget it.
I optimistically ended my last column by noting that you'll soon have the free markets to thank for other things as well, like the future-Ukrainian doctors who will cure your cancer, and future-Polish stockbrokers who will make you a fortune. Unfortunately you'll have to wait a bit more for that inevitable utopian moment, as today's free market Ukrainian doctors (or what's left of them since most abandoned the profession in the 1990s when their salaries dropped to levels that would make a Delhi street urchin laugh in their faces) demand bribes for treating everything from a sore throat to a severed artery, and in fact what's left of today's Ukrainian doctors is a mob of quacks so dangerously incompetent they couldn't diagnose a pregnancy from a bee sting, even if a tiny screaming head plopped out of a woman's dilated vulva, thrashing about for air and spitting afterbirth on the Ukrainian doctor's face.
Meanwhile, personal experience tells me that you would better trust your cash with a Hunter's Point crackhead than with a Polish stockbroker.
But that will soon change. Patience, everyone. It's only been twenty years since the markets were opened. It may take another 20 years, or 20 decades, before free markets create East Europeans who offer Westerners something besides whores. In the meantime, what's the rush?
Just ask my old Russia hand friend. His old hand has gone from spending years in his lap to 200 dollar sessions on young Moldovan girls' orifices, and he would be the first to say that it's never been a happier hand.

Bad Dating
Of the 1,300 singles polled admitted to turning up late for a first date – or not showing at all; 28% talked about their ex and past sexual experiences, 14% confessed to over-indulging in alcohol, and 6% said they’d been chaperoned by a friend, their mother -- or even a pet. 14% of women surveyed admitted to drinking so much on a first date that they felt out of control.

Russian woman found in India
Panaji, May 9 (IANS) A badly dismembered body of a 24-year-old Russian woman was found on a railway track in a Goa village, India, police said Saturday.
Police officials identified the deceased as Elena Sukhnova, who they claim had arrived in Goa, India on a tourist visa. Her body was found on the railway track near Revora village, about 30 km from here.
Mapusa police inspector Manjunath Dessai said the deceased was residing at a tourist lodge in the popular Baga beach area.
'We found some documents near the body, which was badly mutilated with several pieces of flesh lying about. The documents showed us where the woman was put up,' Dessai told IANS.
He said the deceased had left her guest house at 10.30 p.m. Thursday and was missing since. The lodge is nearly 20 km from the place where the body was found.
Police may get in touch with the Konkan railway authorities to verify if Elena had booked a ticket on a train. 'We do not know yet. She could also have been knocked down by the locomotive,' a police official said.
The body has been sent for an autopsy. Police said the Russian consulate authorities had been intimated about the incident.

Dating After Divorce
No question looking for love after 10 or 20 years of marriage can be very stressful. We look older, even if we don't feel it, and we have many more boundaries about who we are and what we want then in our youth. The idea of emailing someone, and facing possible further rejection, is ego threatening. You are bitter about how your marriage has ended, but you should live in the present. Don't talk about your ex. Those revelations can take place much later in a developed relationship. By letting people see too much sadness or meanness, you will undoubtedly never see them again. Try and get your disappointments solved by yourself, and deal with the present during your dates. It will be mentally healthier for you and a much better way to interact with new people.

Mistakes made by Men while dating online
Mistakes made by Men
• Don't ask her how much she weighs or what her measurements are. You might as well just tell her you only want to sleep with her and you have no interest in getting to know her because that's what she's going to think if you ask her this.
• Don't email her seven times asking her why she hasn't responded to your first email. Women get far more email than men do, so you need to be patient. Instead of harassing her, relax and be confident that she's going to respond to you. Don't send her a nasty email if she hasn't responded to you after several emails. It's her prerogative
whether or not she desires to be in contact with you. If she doesn't want to meet you, don't get angry and nasty, there are other women out there who you can contact.
• Don't ask her how many other dates she's been on or how many other men she dated on this site. How many
other dates someone has been on is not important. What is important is finding out whether the two of you click when you hang out.
• Don't ask her if she wants to have sex with you on the second email exchange and don't send her dirty pictures
of you. Women are all about connecting with their minds. Just because you're looking for a quick fling, that doesn't mean she's going to respond.
• If she gives you her phone number, don't wait a week to call her. By extension, if you do wait a week to call her and she doesn't call you back, don't be shocked. Women have many options online. If she gives you her phone number, call her the same day.
• When asking for more pictures do so without any references to "Can you please send me a picture so I
can see your body?"
Ask her if she'd like to exchange more pictures, which means you send some and she sends some.
• Don't get offended if she doesn't want to talk to you on the phone right away and/or wants to talk to you via email first to get to know you. You need to be flexible and open to her suggestions. Sometimes you may need to email back and forth for a week and sometimes she'll give you her phone number right away. Either way, don't be rude.
• Don't send cut-and-paste emails. When connecting with her for the very first time, don't cut and paste an email message that you've been sending out for six months. By doing that she knows you didn't read her profile - and that you're really, really lazy!

Mistakes made by Women
• Don't post four different photos from four different stages in your life. This leaves a man wondering, "Who is this person?" Some women will put up pictures from different stages of their life but not put up current pictures. All photos that you post on an online dating profile must be current! He's going to find out what you look like when you meet and there is no reason to lie about your looks.
• Don't post pictures of you skydiving, winter skiing, waterskiing, or doing anything else where men can't see what you look like in the picture.
• Don't list your dislikes about Internet dating in bold, capital letters at the beginning of your profile. We've all had negative experiences online. Emphasize your positive points not your negative ones.
• Keep your profile short and to the point. Make your paragraphs very short like a newspaper sports section - all
paragraphs are short so men can digest that information in short bursts.
• Don't be self-absorbed. Many women's profiles say, "I want a man to be this," "I want a man to do that," "I want a man to cherish me," "I want a man to adore me"... she lists all her "I wants" without listing what She will bring to the relationship. So she ends up looking like she is a taker and not a giver. No man wants to be with a taker; he wants to be with someone who's equally willing to give and to receive.
• Don't list your financial desires like you're posting a want ad, instead say, "I like the finer things in life to share with somebody," so you don't come across so harsh.
• Don't list all your rules. Don't write things like "My perfect date MUST be 55-58 y.o." or "The man I date HAS to wear suits." Women tend to list rules in their profiles. Be open to a different kind of first date or the kind of guy who wears jeans to work or maybe your perfect date will be a year younger or older.
• If you write to a man and he doesn't write you back, don't write a nasty follow-up email and ask him why he didn't write you back. If a man doesn't respond to you, it's the same thing as when you don't write a man back. It means that he is not interested. Don't get angry, just find another person.
• Take a chance and send an email to the guy to whom you're most attracted. You never know what might happen!
• If a guy who you're interested in writes to you, write him back right away. Don't make him wait four days. He may find someone else in the time you wait to write him back.

Mel Gibson's russian girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva sues the website
MEL Gibson's girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva is suing a web domain provider for setting up a site that claims she is carrying twins.
A furious Oksana Grigorieva has launched a lawsuit accusing Californian URL provider DreamHost com of "cyber squatting".
She is demanding the company remove the site and hand her the rights to the domain name, Oksanagrigorieva. com.
The Russian singer wants at least $A120,000 in damages, according to court documents obtained by News Limited.
"The defendants have misappropriated and used the domain name in a blatant effort to impersonate and exploit the name, photograph, likeness and persona of internationally renowned model, pianist, musical composer and performer Oksana Grigorieva," the documents say.
"As part of the scheme to exploit Grigorieva's famous name and identity, the defendant acquired and cyber squatted the domain name, comprised entirely of Grigorieva's valuable name and mark."
The site purports to carry official press statements about her relationship with soon-to-be-divorced Gibson and their pregnancy.
"I am indeed carrying a bun in the oven - in fact there may be two buns in there somewhere," the site says, under her name and picture.
"I am, for obvious reasons, the happiest woman in the world."
The site claims she announced the pregnancy as far back as April.
However, the first confirmation came last month when Gibson spoke out on US TV.
Grigorieva launched the suit in the Los Angeles Superior Court last week.
"The harm to the plaintiff is direct and palpable," the documents say.
"Through the website, the defendants have sought to misappropriate and use the plaintiff's persona and identity and engage in false and fraudulent imposter communications and press announcements with regard to Grigorieva."
A raft of identities have been done battle with domain name providers in the past, including Hillary Clinton and Jennifer Lopez.
Dream Host did not respond to requests for comment and they have yet to formally respond to the claims in court.

dating a rich man
Cassie is unrepentant about dating rich men. “Of course it is much better to sleep with men with lots of money,” said the 27-year-old lawyer from London.
“Any girl who tells you different is lying. Rich men are powerful and successful and confident and charismatic. They know what they want, and they go out and get it. That translates to being fantastic in bed.”
Cassie is living proof of the latest scientific discovery about human sexuality: that the number and frequency of a woman’s orgasms is directly related to her partner’s wealth.
Her explanation is simple. “Women don’t want to lie back and think of the gas bill,” she said. “It’s a lot more fun to have sex in the Ritz than the Swindon Travelodge. And to be ripping off Rigby & Peller underwear than M&S knickers.”

Cassie’s story of being attracted to rich and powerful men is, of course, as old as the hills. It was famously expressed in the question put by the spoof chat-show host Mrs Merton to one of her guests: “So, Debbie McGee, what first attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?”.
Examples abound. Even in his eighties, Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy, has a succession of young girlfriends. Ronnie Wood has recently shown that it’s not only Mick Jagger among the sixtysome-thing Rolling Stones who can attract much younger women, and Donald Trump, the portly American businessman, has a wife 24 years his junior.
Until now some of us may have taken consolation in the idea that the beautiful women involved in such relationships were just doing it for the lifestyle - and enduring the sex.
Now, however, science is showing that a rich man’s money has aphrodisiac qualities as well as purchasing power. Their partners really can have it all.
Many will object to the idea that women are hardwired to be gold-diggers. Perhaps, however, they will be appeased by the revelation that the same kinds of primitive forces are at work in men too. They may operate in different ways and produce different behaviour - but they come from exactly the same source: a genetic code fine-tuned by millions of years of evolution to make us seek out whoever offers us the best deal in life.
It was Charles Darwin who first offered a new explanation for the mysteries of mating. He suggested that characteristics evolved and spread through populations depending on how much they improved our ability to reproduce.
Back then, the most obvious examples came from the animal world. When two stags locked horns they showed how members of the same sex compete with each other. Conversely, when female peahens chose the peacock with the flashiest tail they showed the power of mate preference. In both types of “sexual selection” as Darwin dubbed it, the lesser males were doomed to become evolutionary dead ends while their successful rivals passed their genes to posterity.
Ever since then, researchers have been realising that such sexual strategies permeate the lives of all animals - including humans - and affect everything about our behaviour and relationships.
Among all the discoveries, however, a mystery has remained: what is the point of the female orgasm?
Among animal species few if any females experience anything like the intense pleasure felt by women. The only thing like it is seen in some primates such as macaques. Why, then, have humans evolved this source of pleasure?
Dr Thomas Pollet and Professor Daniel Nettle, academics at the University of Newcastle, have been mulling over this question for years. As evolutionary psychologists, they believe everything about the way we flirt, court, have sex and bring up our children is strongly influenced by our genetic history.
If female humans have acquired the ability to have powerful orgasms, they argue, then women will have evolved that ability for a reason. “Women’s capacity for orgasm could be an evolutionary adaptation that serves to discriminate between males on the basis of their quality,” said Pollet. “If so, then it should be more frequent in females paired with high-quality males.”
He and Nettle tested that idea using data gathered in one of the world’s biggest lifestyle studies. The Chinese Health and Family Life Survey targeted 5,000 people across China to conduct in-depth interviews about their personal lives, including detailed questions about their sex lives, income and other factors. Among these were 1,534 women with male partners whose data formed the basis for the study.
They found that 121 of these women always had orgasms during sex, while 408 had them “often”. Another 762 “sometimes” orgasmed, while 243 had them rarely or never.
There were, of course, several factors at work in causing such differences but, said Pollet, money was one of the main ones. He said: “We found that increasing partner income had a highly positive effect on women’s self-reported frequency of orgasm. More desirable mates cause women to experience more orgasms.”
This is not an effect limited to Chinese women. Previous research in Germany and America has found similar responses.
However, it begs a further question: what does an orgasm actually achieve? Why does having more of them give a woman’s genes a better chance of passing down the generations?
David Buss, professor of psychology at the University of Texas, Austin, who raised this question in his book The Evolution of Desire, believes female orgasms achieve several possible purposes. “They could promote emotional bonding with a high-quality male or they could serve as a signal that they are highly sexually satisfied, and hence unlikely to seek sex with other men,” he said. “In other words, they are saying ‘I’m extremely loyal, so you should invest in me and my children’.”
The idea that our most intimate relationships are dominated by subconscious forces beyond our control may sound disturbing but it is widely confirmed by other research.
Anthony Little, a psychologist at the University of Stirling who specialises in studying human attraction, has found that the type of men to whom women are attracted changes throughout the menstrual cycle.
He said: “Most of the time, when women are not fertile, they prefer men who are more feminine but when they reach peak fertility they change and display a preference for more masculine traits, what you might call the rugby player look.”
Underlying this is another idea some women might not welcome: that women are generally attracted to gentler looking men because they are more likely to show commitment to a relationship and to invest resources in children.
However, for the week or so in each month when women are at their most fertile they are programmed to seek out the men with the “best” genes - the ones most likely to ensure their children survive. That means the man with the biggest muscles, the squarest jaw or, nowadays, the biggest bulge in his wallet. Such men are hard to keep so, once impregnated, women may return to their gentler long-term partner and trick him into bringing up a child that is not his.
Other research shows that in most societies about 5%-10% of children have been fathered by men who were not the woman’s long-term partner at the time of conception.
Given the scale of such threats, men have developed defences of their own - including the ability to subconsciously detect when women are at the peak of fertility. A study of lapdancers in America showed that men gave the best tips to those who were fertile, and the worst to those who were menstruating. The researchers suggested men can pick up a series of subtle cues such as the body scent, changes in complexion and body shape, and behaviour of fertile women.
Ian Penton-Voak, a psychologist at Bristol University, believes such findings show nature at work in its rawest form. He said: “In some ways it makes us seem almost evil but it’s wrong to impose moral judgments. There are no morals involved in evolution and what we are producing is just knowledge about how it works.”
Natasha, a 40-year-old professional woman from Surrey, believes she has benefited from giving way to her evolutionary urges. Recently she broke up with her husband of 12 years and found a rich boyfriend.
“I do have much better sex than with my husband,” she said. “My boyfriend is rich, confident and attractive and makes me feel protected and safe. Women need to connect mentally for really great sex, it’s not just a physical thing. It needs to be someone you respect, and rich men get that sort of respect.”
Here, however, a note of caution may be needed. Pollet and Nettle may have found women have more orgasms with rich men - but they also found no evidence that they were any happier overall.
Meredith Small, professor of anthropology at Cornell University in New York state, suggests this discrepancy also shows the cunning of evolution. She said: “Even if a rich man is a jerk in every other way, having orgasms with him allows you to convince yourself that he is making you happy.”
Cassie admits that relationships with rich men can be difficult. “The richest man I dated wasn’t great at calling and being places on time. But it was worth it anyway.”
She added: “Poor men just aren’t the same, although with the recession there are a few more of them out there now. I wonder if it will make a difference to their performance?”
The trouble with orgasms
Little boy: “Mummy, mummy, mummy, what’s an orgasm?” Mother: “I don’t know, dear, go and ask your father.”
Yep, after millions of years of evolution and almost as many sex surveys, much about the female orgasm remains a mystery. The male version is pretty easy to understand; but the whys and wherefores of female orgasms, or lack of them, are not so clear.
Men are the root of the problem, of course. According to Jonathan Margolis, author of O: The Intimate History of the Orgasm, things began to go wrong when men lost their simple caveman instincts.
Neanderthal man and woman apparently used to have no problem with sex, thinking it nothing more than a bit of fun. Then along came Neolithic man, an altogether more sophisticated kind of guy. After he made the connection between sex and childbirth, complications ensued. Customs arose that restricted sex and compounded male domination. Among the ultimate fallout were such oddities as the Victorians referring to a female orgasm as a “hysterical paroxysm”, and the supposed discovery in the 1980s of a highly sensitive female zone known as the G-spot. Last year an Italian university claimed that the elusive G-spot does exist - but that not all women had one. Very useful.
Through all these trials, however, the power of sex has remained undiminished. According to the World Health Authority, 100m acts of sexual intercourse take place every day
“Any girl who tells you different is lying.

Wives for Sale: The Modern International Mail-Order Bride Industry
Russian women make excellent wives, are exceptionally loyal and devoted.. They are generally more attractive than oriental . They are much more culturally compatible with Americans and adapt here easily. They speak English and Christians.
They have that demure feminine mystic of all russians, and are family oriented
instead of duty oriented. The Russian women like traditional role of being
wives, and they like being women! They're not career oriented but are hard
workers. They keep themselves and their homes immaculately clean.
They're exceptionally feminine, charming, slim and enjoy being so. They don't
have reservations about marrying outside their race as the many other nations do.
The label "mail-order bride" often brings to mind historical images from times long gone. However, this form of trafficking women internationally thrives in the modern global economic system. Operating virtually without regulation, the modern mail-order bride industry prospers by ex-ploiting the power disparities between men and women, the rich and the poor, those from developed economies and those from developing economies. Young women from poor families in economically struggling nations are transported from their homes, like products, to male citizens of economically advantaged nations under the supervision of for-profit companies known as "mail-order bride agencies." Throughout the world, the industry is responsible only to its male consumers and its own budget. The mail-order bride industry has been criticized by social and legal
commentators for its exploitation of women, creation of immigration problems, perpetuation of stereotypes, and tendency to create situations in which domestic violence thrives. A few laws have been enacted in the United. However, the legislation mat does exist has proven largely ineffective to curb the problems associated with this practice of trafficking women. While the number of mail-order bride companies is on the rise and the industry thrives, the harms to the women trafficked have not begun to subside. Future attempts to regulate the industry should include international cooperation and concerted multinational efforts to control the supply and demand forces in the industry on a global level, rather than attempt to exert control from the national level.
